Embodying the transmission of Gallèse culture
Les Ramaougeurs is a fresco that recounts a past and future invariant of the Couesnon Marches de Bretagne territory, through the oral transmission of a Gallèse culture where legends, culinary practices, dances and songs are intertwined. Based on interviews and workshops with residents, it incorporates references to the region such as the ramaougerie, the pré-verger, the bocage and the tale La Cueurie du pommë de la Rèta, once told by Eugénie-Duval.
The term "ramaougeurs" takes its name from the history of the Coglais region, the festive evenings during which the Pommé is prepared.
"Once organized from farm to farm, "ramaougeries" brought families and neighbors together for festive evenings that lasted until dawn. Songs and dances accompanied the long work of the ramaougeurs, who baked for up to 24 hours to obtain a consistent paste1 ".

Over a year, Isabelle Daëron conducted interviews and workshops with these people, who work to pass on Gallèse culture.
From this work of meeting, collecting and researching, the design of a fresco emerged.
The fresco makes visible and intelligible the uses of the site (meeting, speaking, transmitting, welcoming, listening), providing a narrative for all audiences and a representation of the transmission of Gallèse culture.
The drawing was then scaled and reproduced in paint on the mediatheque wall by two set painters, Claire Chapuis and Lucie Delisle.

Work carried out as part of the 1% artistic program at the Eugénie-Duval social and cultural center (Maen Roch) for the Département d'Ille-et-Vilaine and Couesnon Marches de Bretagne, with the participation of ESCC departments, local residents and the collaboration of Studio Idaë and painters Claire Chapuis and Lucie Delisle.
